Zotto Mattress Review Highlights Best Memory Foam Mattresses – Mattress Advisor Zotto entered the direct-to-consumer mattress market in 2015 with their innovative mattress model—the Zotto mattress. It quickly gained popularity among shoppers who sought the comfort and contouring benefits of memory foam without the high price tag.
What Sleeping Position Does It Best Support? The Zotto mattress provides excellent support for back sleepers. The soft top layers distribute body weight evenly, while the support foam prevents spine misalignment. Side sleepers can benefit from the contouring memory foam layers.
However, stomach sleepers may experience discomfort because the softness of the top layers could cause their lower back to arch slightly out of alignment. Also, the Zotto is best suited for those who favor one sleeping position. Combination sleepers may experience average response times when changing position.
Does It Sleep Cool? One of the most significant advantages of the Zotto mattress is its temperature regulation. The top layer of foam contains a phase change material called ThermaPhase™ that absorbs excess heat and releases it when it’s too cold. The second layer has an open cell construction, allowing for easy airflow and heat dissipation.
What’s the Max Weight Limit? The Zotto mattress can support a maximum of 300lbs per person or 600lbs combined on larger mattress sizes. However, it’s best suited for those with small or average body types since heavyweight sleepers may not receive adequate support from the memory foam layers.
What Foundations Can be Used? Zotto recommends using their mattress on a standard box spring in good condition, a slatted bed frame (maximum of 3” between slats), an adjustable bed frame, or even directly on the floor.
Inside the Zotto Mattress The Zotto mattress consists of four layers of foam, with the top three layers forming the Z3 Package. There is also a fire retardant sock beneath the mattress cover.
Mattress Cover: The Zotto mattress cover is a removable and machine-washable poly-rayon material with four-way stretch. Thermaphase Comfort Layer: The top layer of foam has the cradling feel of memory foam and is infused with temperature-regulating ThermaPhase™ material. CoolFlow Support Layer: The second layer is made of open-cell polyfoam and provides additional pressure relief for your hips and shoulders. Transition Layer: The third foam layer has more bounce than the other two foam layers, prevents sinking too deep into the mattress, and adds extra edge support. Base Layer: The final foam layer is extra dense and provides support and durability to the entire mattress.
